FILMEDUCA

Diego Contreras. Philologist and Secondary Education Teacher. Pascual Ross, photographer and visual artist.

“Give young people a camera, and they will show you their vision of the world.”

Filmeduca is an educational project whose aim is to introduce cinema into Andalusian public education free of charge by involving students directly in a professional film production. Young people aged 15 to 17 take on the essential roles within a film shoot.

For one week, they are the ones operating the cameras, performing in front of them, capturing the sound… The teamwork skills they develop, the sense of responsibility they assume in carrying out their assigned tasks, and the professionalism they demonstrate are always remarkable—and the experience is unforgettable.

Our goal is always to achieve a professional result. We strive to make films with all their visual, sound, and musical elements fully realized. Over the years, we have produced several short films, including “Perros” (Short Film), “Sola”, “14 Días”, and “Hybris”, and we are currently in post-production on a feature film titled “El canto de las cigarras”. With these works, we have received 8 awards and 22 official selections at both national and international film festivals.
