The Difracción Ensemble is an eight-member transdisciplinary contemporary music group created and based in the Canary Islands. It is the leading promoter of European and Latin American music in the archipelago and the most actively engaged ensemble in premiering and disseminating Canarian music both within and beyond the islands.
The ensemble has collaborated with renowned artists such as Sonia de Munck, Fabián Panisello, Attilia Kiyoko Cernitori, Javier Laso, and Gustavo Díaz-Jerez (its resident pianist), among others.
Its musical director is José María Vicente, and its artistic director and founder is the composer Leandro A. Martin.
